HSBC loses disc with 370,000 customer details

Another appalling story of data mistreatment, ignorance and minimization.Zara's not: Wow, this data losing habit is getting so common - it's almost like a virus is infecting people with laptops - causing them to forget things - I wonder if they all use the same type of mobile phone or type of toothpaste - as something it causing intelligent people to leave highly classified information in public places - time to invent a "don't forget your laptop" beeper that goes off if a person gets more than 5 feet away from it - could send the signal back to HQ or automatically encrypt the gaw dam thing - so they have to get it unlocked by the police.
